Steve specializes in “rapid coaching”, presentations skills development, conflict resolution, team performance improvement, and change management.
Steve began his coaching career at Champion International where he was Director of Management Education, for 17 years, he and his team put over 6,000 employees through 360 feedback, which included a coaching component. In addition, he coached fifteen high potential managers every year for 12 years.
While the Senior Director of Management and Organizational Development in the pharmaceutical industry for 13 years, one of his major responsibilities was to coach Vice Presidents, Directors, Managers, and Professional Individual Contributors. There were two major tracks of internal clients: high potentials who needed targeted development and those whose performance had plateaued or slipped.
Recipients of Steve’s coaching began referring to his process as “rapid coaching” because of his no-nonsense, yet upbeat approach that led to fast development results for the clients.
Steve earned coaching credentials from Keilty, Goldsmith & Company, Lominger Associates, the Leadership Research Institute, the Phoenix Group, Healthy Companies, the Task Group, and Blessing White.
His Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and work with the Harvard Negotiation Project has enabled him to successfully coach individuals involved in disputes.
Steve’s coaching clients are in the following industries: banking, insurance, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, chemicals, commercial contracting, food and beverage, hospitality, energy, computer technology, and public utilities.
In addition, he provides pro bono coaching to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations, social service agencies, and educational and religious institutions.
